October 27, 2016The DeKalb County Community Mental Health Board is seeking candidates to fill an open seat on the Board.
Through leadership and funding, the DeKalb County Community Mental Health Board supports access to high quality behavioral healthcare services for DeKalb County residents. Created by referendum, the Board administers a property tax fund that provides support to behavioral healthcare services. In 2016, 44 programs in 15 agencies received Board support.
Board members are responsible for attending monthly meetings and are also encouraged to serve on one of the committees, which include the Finance Committee, Executive Committee, and Outcomes Committee. The Board is committed to membership that reflects the diversity of the county population. To be eligible, candidates must live in DeKalb County and cannot be employees or board members of any agencies funded by the DeKalb County Community Mental Health Board.
