Internship Spotlight – Paulina Snopek
August 1, 2017William Faltyn is a senior at NIU with a major in Sociology and a minor in Nonprofit and NGO Studies.
This summer, William participated in the Internship Program and was paired with DeKalb Area Agricultural Heritage Association. The following is what William had to say about his internship experience:
Q: What projects are you working on as an intern?
William: I have been transferring data of DAAHA. I am putting it into a cloud based storage rather, then one on a hard drive. This will allow their treasure to have better access to it.
Q: What is the best part of your internship?
William: Working with the data and just seeing general trends from certain members of the organization.
Q: In your opinion, why should students pursue internship opportunities?
William: It allows you to see what you’ve been working towards and creates a better understanding of future careers.
Q: Please share any additional comments you would like to share about your internship experience.
William: Thank you for allowing me to pursue this exciting career opportunity.
