Internship Spotlight – Paulina Snopek

Paulina Snopek is a senior at NIU with a major in Nonprofit and NGO Studies.

This summer, Paulina participated in the Internship Program and was paired with Tails Humane Society. The following is what Paulina had to say about her internship experience:

Q: What projects are you working on as an intern?

Paulina: I am responsible for writing the monthly newsletters and keeping the donors and adopters contact information up-to-date. I am also working on a project that will allow Tails to organize their donor and adopter information better with the use of Excel.

Q: What is the best part of your internship?

Paulina: Working with a great group of leaders and teachers that want you to benefit as much as possible from your experience as an intern for their organization.

Q: In your opinion, why should students pursue internship opportunities?

Paulina: It gives them the opportunity to experience first hand how the workforce is going to be. This also allows students to learn their strengths and weaknesses before they get a real job after college.

Q: Please share any additional comments you would like to share about your internship experience.

Paulina: Thank you so much for all your support and your dedication to the Internship Program! Not only are you helping me reach my goals and dreams, but you are also helping my classmates!
