February 5, 2019On May 2, 2019 we will host our sixth giving day to raise funds for 501(c)3 nonprofits that are located in and/or serving DeKalb County. Give DeKalb County is a 24-hour fundraising event that builds community, encourages philanthropy, connects donors to nonprofits, promotes collaboration, and raises awareness about the nonprofit sector. Donors of all ages and walks of life are encouraged to express their generosity on May 2, 2019 and we hope you will join us in this extraordinary philanthropic event!
To participate, nonprofits must be:
- Located in, serving, and/or conducting organizational activities in DeKalb County, IL
- Legally recognized by the IRS as 501(c)3 organizations (check IRS compliance here)
- Legally registered with the Illinois Attorney General’s Office (learn about annual registration here)
- 2019 DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership (DCNP) members by March 1, 2019 (learn about DCNP membership here)
Please note that churches and K-12 schools are not eligible to participate. Additionally, there is a participation fee based on the organization’s operating budget. This fee is withheld from the final donation check so there is no need to pay it upfront.
Give DeKalb County has raised over $1.8 million since it began 5 years ago. This year, we hope to significantly add to that total!
