August 4, 2020Jazanay recently graduated from Northern Illinois University, majoring in Public Health and minoring in Nonprofit & NGO Studies. She interned with Girls on the Run (GOTR) through the Internship Program for the Spring 2020 semester.
Here is what Jazany had to say about her internship experience:
Q: What projects have you been working on as an intern?
Jazany: A couple of the projects I worked on as an intern were creating a donor management system which will help my organization raise more money, creating an informative/interactive video for GOTR mid-season training, and completing an engaging donor-based newsletter for GOTR.
Q: What is the biggest benefit and/or the coolest part of your internship experience?
Jazany: The coolest part of my internship experience was being able to work as a co-coach for GOTR; this allows me to see first-hand how the organization is beneficial to the girls.
Q: In your opinion, why should students pursue internship opportunities?
Jazany: Students should pursue internship opportunities because they allow students to gain exposure to working in the real world while using the skills and theoretical practice learned in school.
Q: Please share any additional comments you have about your internship experience.
Jazany: Thank you to the Roberts Family Foundation for your generosity!
