Welcome to another edition of Positive Perspectives!
Positive Perspectives highlights uplifting stories from DCNP members. This idea came from our Marketing and Membership Committee, who wanted to share some good news despite the challenges we all face right now. This month we’re featuring CASA DeKalb County Enjoy!
CASA DeKalb County, Inc. hosted its 16th annual 50 Men Who Cook fundraiser VIRTUALLY on August 8! Titled 50 Men Who Cook: Iron Chef-Style Competition, the event featured 14 local amateur and professional chefs along with Iron Chef America Judge and Italian Culinary Expert, Mario Rizzotti. The local chefs prepared their favorite dishes on camera and then were judged by Mario Rizzotti based on originality, presentation and virtual taste. Usually, at 50 Men Who Cook, guests have the pleasure of tasting up to 50 delicious dishes. This year, the event was a behind-the-scenes look at how the chefs prepare those amazing appetizers, side dishes, entrees, and desserts. Anyone who registered for the event also received CASA’s Official 50 Men Who Cook Digital Cookbook so they can make one of the delicious dishes on their own. Pictures from the event and chef winner results are also available on the CASA website. CASA would like to thank all of the amazing chefs who participated, Mario Rizzotti for his time and support, everyone who attended, and everyone else who made the event possible, including our event sponsors, Craig Mathey for his music, Jesus Romero/Taxco Restaurant, The Shepard Family, the 50 Men Who Cook Committee, and CASA Board of Directors.
