Sessions are ideal for new board members or seasoned members of the board seeking a refresher. Executive Directors are also encouraged to attend – all are welcome!
Note: You must register for each individual session you plan to attend. Workshops will be recorded, but we encourage you to attend in real-time if your schedule allows. Each workshop will have approximately 15 minutes for questions and discussion.

Matthew Gayer, Co-Executive Director – Catalogue for Philanthropy in Washington, D.C
Matt is Co-Executive Director of the Catalogue for Philanthropy in Washington, D.C. which is the region’s only locally-focused guide to giving and volunteering. They focus on small nonprofits with a goal to create visibility for these organizations, fuel their growth with philanthropic dollars, and create a movement for social good in the region. Since 2003, the Catalogue has raised more than $40 million for their network of vetted nonprofits. Every nonprofit in their network is evaluated for excellence by a team of over 120 local experts. They assess each organization for impact, community need, and financial transparency. Before joining the Catalogue, Matt worked in healthcare consulting at The Advisory Board Company. He’s a Truman Scholar, holds a Master of Public Administration degree with a focus on nonprofit management from Syracuse University, and earned a Bachelors in Public Policy and Political Science from Southern Methodist University. Matt loves all things DC and enjoys exploring the hidden gems the city has to offer.
