December 3, 2021I.D.E.A. Initiative: Executive Director Panel Presentation
The I.D.E.A. Initiative was designed as a progressively more intensive experience to accommodate a variety of organizations.
In January 2021, DCNP offered a training to develop definitional understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) terminology, to explore the importance of DEI in the nonprofit context, to discuss the importance of inclusion for all (e.g., clients, staff, volunteers, board), and to share the importance of inclusive policies and procedures.
Next, through a competitive application process, four DCNP members were selected by an ad hoc committee to participate in an immersive opportunity, which included three parts: Kickoff Roundtable & Project Identification, Policy/Procedure Review & Action Steps, and Reflection Roundtable & Wrap-Up.
Now — nearly a year later — we invite you to this virtual panel presentation on December 9, 1-2:00pm. You will hear from each Executive Director of organizations that participated in the I.D.E.A. Initiative. They will share about their projects, their journey, and what lessons they learned over the last year that may be relevant for your organization!
