Meet Future Leader Intern Mary Gonzalez-Padilla! Mary is in her senior year at DeKalb High School. She’s been hard at work at Barb Food Mart supporting pantry operations and coordinating
volunteers.
“We are so thankful for this opportunity to support internships in our community!” said Joey Moore, Executive Director.
Barb Food Mart is a food pantry serving families in the DeKalb School District. Families in need and those looking to volunteer can register and learn more at www.barbfoodmart.com.
“Mary is among the very first interns supported by FLI Grants,” said Ben Bingle, DCNP Director. “We look forward to partnering with organizations in the future to support paid internships like this one.”
Future Leaders Internship (FLI) Grants provide matching funds for nonprofit and governmental DCNP members to support paid internships.
