Q: What project(s) are you working on as an intern?
A: I spent time getting the ticket sales from 50 Men Who Cook into the database system. I have also worked on marketing for CASA’s 30th Anniversary Celebration, and Whiskey, Wine & Cheese event.
Q: What is the biggest benefit and/or the best part of your internship experience?
A: I have loved going to events and networking with the community. Plus, I am able to apply what I am learning in class to real world applications.
A: Students should pursue internship opportunities because it allows them to better understand the career field and explore what they like and don’t like.
Q: Please share any additional comments you have about your internship experience.
A: This internship has helped me gain real life experiences that will help me in my future career. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of the program – thank you!
The Internship Program is a collaboration between the DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership, the Center for Nonprofit and NGO Studies, and Career Services at Northern Illinois University, supported by the Douglas C. and Lynn M. Roberts Family Foundation.
