Give DeKalb County 2025: A Day of Giving Back

On May 1, 2025, DeKalb County will come together for the 12th annual Give DeKalb County—a 24-hour fundraising event that empowers individuals to support nonprofit organizations. Organized by the DeKalb County Nonprofit Partnership (DCNP), a program of the DeKalb County Community Foundation, this initiative has raised over $10.7 million to date, reflecting the community’s commitment to making a difference.

Multiple Ways to Give

Give DeKalb County offers several convenient donation methods to accommodate all donors:​

• Online: Visit GiveDeKalbCounty.org on May 1 to donate via credit/debit card, ACH bank transfer, or mobile wallet like Apple Pay and Google Pay. The minimum online donation is $5. ​
• Mail-In: Donors who prefer to give by check can print a mail-in donation form at GiveDeKalbCounty.org, list their chosen organization(s) and donation amount(s), then write one check for the total amount payable to “DCCF.” Mail it with the completed donation form to the DeKalb County Community Foundation, 475 DeKalb Avenue, Sycamore, IL 60178 (postmarked April 17 – May)
• In-Person: On May 1, from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., donors can drop off their donation forms and checks at the Community Foundation. This event offers an opportunity to enjoy light refreshments and watch the fundraising total grow in real-time.
• Other Giving Options: Donors can also contribute via donor-advised funds or make Qualified Charitable Distributions from IRAs using the mail-in donation process. ​

Every donation made during Give DeKalb County is boosted by a Bonus Pool, increasing the value of each gift. This pool is funded by generous Community Partners, ensuring that every contribution has an even greater impact on participating nonprofits. ​

Supporting a Diverse Nonprofit Community

In 2024, Give DeKalb County attracted 8,501 donations from donors across 42 states and two countries, showcasing the widespread support for DeKalb County’s nonprofit sector.

Participating organizations span various causes, like education, health, arts, environment, and social services. Donors can explore the list of nonprofits and choose to support the causes that resonate most with them. ​
