Intern Spotlight – Brenda Tsida
August 28, 2026A: Data analysis for events (organizing spreadsheets, creating graphs and charts, and making inferences and suggestions), blog posts (creating interview questions, contacting various artists/community members, and writing up posts for publication), poster creation (drafting, sketching, and painting posters for events), working various events, market research and proposals, and more.
A: I really enjoy the work environment! Everyone here has been incredibly supportive and helpful throughout this process. It’s also nice to have variety and agency in my assigned projects. I don’t feel stuck working on things that I don’t enjoy, and I am encouraged to propose new tasks and projects with my extra time during the day. I feel like my suggestions are heard, appreciated, and taken into consideration.
A: Internships are helpful both for implementing classroom skills and determining if the area is something a student wants to further pursue. It’s nice to have the option to put learning into practice and confirm that this is an area I enjoy working in.
A: Thank you so much for your support of the program! Without financial support, many of us wouldn’t have the means to get involved and participate with local organizations. Because of your contributions, I am able to get involved and make an impact in my community.
