February 27 @ 9:00 am - 10:30 am
Last year, multiple apartment fires impacted and displaced families in both DeKalb and Sycamore. In this session, Tynisha Clegg and Colleen Parks of Family Service Agency will recap the crisis response, outline the lessons learned, and lead a discussion about how attendees can be part of future response efforts.
By attending this training, participants will:
- Learn about the Community Action Program including how it is administered, who it benefits, and available funding.
- Better understand the local response to the 2019 fires including successes, challenges, and lessons learned.
- Hear how FSA is using the lessons learned to prepare for future crises in DeKalb County.
- Participate in a discussion about how local agencies can effectively coordinate in response to future crises.
