Presenter Bios
Kristin Miller is a seasoned fund raiser who has worked in the nonprofit field as a development professional and volunteer for over 20 years. Prior to joining the NIU Foundation, Kristin was the Principal of Clark Miller Consulting and worked exclusively with DeKalb County nonprofits. During her career, Kristin honed her skills as a development officer at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, Museum of Science and Industry, and the Northlight Theatre.
Teri Spartz has nearly 20 years of nonprofit experience with over 16 years of major gift fundraising in healthcare and higher education. Throughout her years with the NIU Foundation, she learned the importance of building authentic donor relationships and meaningful stewardship experiences. She believes that finding a way to make giving a fun experience for donors will keep them engaged for years to come! Teri is currently the Community Engagement Director at the DeKalb County Community Foundation.
