Partnering to Offer Valuable Training for DCNP Members

Throughout the year, DCNP partners with other organizations to offer additional training opportunities to members. Check back regularly to our calendar to view upcoming trainings.

For example, we have ongoing training partnerships with Kishwaukee College and multiple departments at Northern Illinois University (NIU).

The Center for Governmental Studies at NIU offers the Civic Leadership Academy each year. By accessing the Civic Leadership Academy website you can see their upcoming offerings, many of which are tailored to nonprofit staff, boards, and volunteers.

DCNP members receive a significant discount for specific workshops within the Nonprofit Specialization Track.

Kishwaukee College

We frequently collaborate with Kishwaukee College to offer training on a variety of topics. Typically, these are offered free of charge to DCNP members through generous support from First Midwest Bank.

NNGO Breakfast Series

NNGO

Each month during the academic year (September – May) the Center for Nonprofit and NGO Studies at NIU offers a Breakfast Series for those working with nonprofit organizations. Presenters are often NIU faculty or staff and topics range from crisis communications to ethical leadership. Refreshments are provided and the small group size allows for great discussion and networking. Parking is free for DCNP members.
